We're not here to oversell you. If your insulation is fine, we'll say so. If it's costing you money, we'll show you why.
Proper blown-in insulation creates a thermal barrier across your attic floor that slows heat transfer, so your HVAC system doesn't have to fight the attic all day.
Less heat sneaking in (and warmth escaping in winter) means your system runs less and your monthly bills drop.
More even temperatures across the house, summer and winter, with fewer rooms that never quite get comfortable.
When your AC and heat aren't overworking, the equipment lasts longer and breaks down less. Pair it with an annual maintenance plan to keep it that way.
Good insulation also helps block outdoor dust, pollen, and humidity from getting into your living space. For more on healthier air at home, see our indoor air quality and duct cleaning services.

Our climate is hard on a poorly insulated home. Here's why it's worth getting right.
Insulation keeps your home cooler in summer and warmer during winter cold snaps, so your system works less.
It blocks warm, moist outdoor air that can lead to mold, rot, and damaged building materials.
Less heat transfer means less strain on your AC through our long, hot cooling season.
It acts as a barrier against outdoor pollutants and allergens like dust and pollen.
The U.S. Department of Energy recommends attics in our climate zone carry roughly R30 to R60 of insulation (R-value is the measure of how well insulation resists heat), and Energy Star estimates homeowners save an average of 15% on heating and cooling costs by air sealing and adding attic insulation. See the Energy Star savings estimate.

They are very prompt. Within just a few hours after I called, their employee, Paul, was at my home checking on why the air wasn’t cooling from my a/c. He was extremely polite and respectful to me. He found the problem and explained to me in great detail what was wrong and the two ways I could choose to have it repaired. One way was the cheapest and would take care of the problem but he also gave me the option of a repair plus an additional part which would create greater preventive for this happening again. He made the repair and also checked my a/c unit for any other problems. He also suggested that I should have my a/c checked every six . months so this problem would be noticed and corrected before the loss of the cool air from my a/c. The price was reasonable and Paul was a complete gentleman and an excellent a/c repairman.
Fast friendly service! My AC unti at my home stopped working the day before the 4th of July weekend and we thought we would have to go without ac for the weekend in the hot Texas heat. Air Pro cooling sent a technician named Paul to our home immediately who was very friendly and courteous and fixed our ac problem. Highly recommend this great company!PositiveResponsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value_🙏1
Paul Sepeda was our AirPro technician. He was on time, courteous, clean and demonstrated a great knowledge our HVAC system. He did everything we asked for and more, and did it thoroughly. He answered all our questions, and gave us multiple options for some needed work. He did not "oversell" any high-priced option. We would recommend Paul in a heart beat...a real "keeper"!

Without insulation, your attic lets summer heat radiate into your living space and winter warmth escape through the roof, so your HVAC system has to work harder to compensate. Proper attic insulation creates a thermal barrier that slows this heat transfer, reducing the workload on your system and lowering your energy bills. Less wear on your equipment over time, too.
South Texas has extreme summer heat, occasional winter cold snaps, and high humidity. Proper attic insulation regulates indoor temperatures, blocks moist outdoor air from infiltrating (which can lead to mold and rot), and reduces strain on your AC during heavy summer use. It also helps maintain indoor air quality by blocking outdoor pollutants and allergens like dust and pollen.
We use proven Owens Corning blown-in insulation, which comes with a lifetime guarantee.
R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow, and higher is better. For attics in our climate zone the U.S. Department of Energy and ENERGY STAR recommend roughly R30 to R60. During a free inspection we measure what you have now and recommend the right depth to bring your attic up to that range.
Yes. Heating and cooling is the biggest part of most home energy bills, and the U.S. Department of Energy notes that adding insulation and sealing air leaks is one of the most cost-effective ways to lower those costs. In our long San Antonio cooling season, that shows up as an air conditioner that runs less and lasts longer.
Blown-in insulation is loose fiberglass blown across your attic floor, so it fills gaps and settles evenly around framing and the hard-to-reach spots that batt rolls leave uncovered. That even coverage is what makes it effective. We install Owens Corning blown-in insulation, which is backed by a lifetime guarantee.
In many cases, yes. Blown-in insulation can be added over existing attic insulation to build it up to the recommended depth. If we find insulation that is wet, moldy, or damaged during the inspection, we will show you what we found and walk through your options before doing any work.
Common signs are rooms that never get comfortable, an AC that runs almost constantly through the summer, energy bills creeping up year over year, or an older home that has not had insulation added in a long time. A quick inspection tells you for sure, and ours is free.
Attic insulation cost depends on the size of your attic and how much we add to reach the recommended depth. We don't publish a flat price because every attic is different, so we come out, measure what you have, and give you a free written estimate before any work starts.
For most San Antonio homes the best attic insulation is blown-in fiberglass. It fills gaps evenly, settles around framing, and holds its R-value over time. We install Owens Corning blown-in, backed by a lifetime guarantee.
